Dairy Free Ranch Salad Dressing

Why is it that when something smells really bad we want to share that experience with everyone around us? For instance you would say: “What’s that horrible smell?!?” Then immediately everyone around you takes in the biggest breath of life, just to be sure to get a really good whiff???

Same thing goes for when something tastes awful. We think – I know, I should offer the poor schmuck sitting beside me a taste! “Ewwwwwww…try this…it tastes horrible”. Funny thing is most people will open up and take a big bite.

But it also reminds me when I’d be eating something soooooooo good that if anyone even so much as approached me I would stab them with my fork.

I had a friend (had being the operative word here) he wasn’t actually a friend at all, ok fine he was my boyfriend that use to wait until there was just one perfect bite left on my plate and he would steal it. But this perfect bite was like when you were a kid and you would save the best for last. I was the kid that would eat the cupcake first and save all the icing for the end. Hangs head in shame. But this perfect little morsel would be waiting to be eaten, almost smiling up at me from my plate, and the moment I would look away or take a sip of water he would attack and have it in his mouth before I even had a chance to realize what had just taken place.

Come to think of it it’s probably why the relationship ended.

Boyfriends beware!!! If you steal the last bite you may be bitting off more than you can chew.

Dairy Free Ranch Dressing

Ranch Salad Dressing

2 tbsp of mayo (I love using sir. kensington’s)
2 tbsp unsweetened almond milk
1/2 lemon (just the juice)
1/4 tsp herbamare
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp dill
salt and pepper to taste.

Toss all of your ingredients into a tupperware container and then shake what your momma gave you. Once combined dress up some Organic Romaine with Blackened chicken, tomatoes and avocado.

Chicken Salad with Ranch Dressing

The dressing was the true star of this show, but the salad made for an excellent backdrop.
