Hey, I have a question for you…
Why is it that we often link relaxation to the feeling of floating?! Does sound nice though, turning off your mind and escaping to never never land, completely weightless. Well, what if I told you that I could do you one better??? That relaxation AND floating on water is a possibility??? Yes you heard me right, FLOATING! ON! WATER! I was a bit of a sceptic when I first heard about it. The thought of getting into a dark pod filled with water for one hour and being told that all I had to do was lie back and relax. What?! Relax… IN WATER!!! No thank you. But the moment I jumped in and stopped convincing myself that this was going to be nothing but water torture, I’m pretty sure I was drooling at the five minute mark. There were even moments where I dozed off. I’ll say that last part again – I was so relaxed that I fell asleep… in water. WHO FALLS ASLEEP IN WATER?!?!
I guess when relaxation kicks in you can pretty much fall asleep anywhere. Kind of like those jerks that can doze off on red eye flights. They always look so comfortable, meanwhile you have the chair in front of you in your lap, can already feel the kink in your neck coming on, and you have to pee, again.
But back to floating… so these pods of bliss are filled with 850 pounds of Epsom salts which is why you remain completely weightless. I actually laughed out loud when I first got in because it is literally impossible to sink, believe me I tried.
Plus floating in Epsom salt has some really great health benefits. It can improve circulation, eases muscle pain, regulates electrolytes, and reduces stress. Then once you finish your float the relaxation just keeps on coming. You then enter a secondary relaxation room with an oxygen bar and all you can drink Kombucha on tap.
I highly recommend that everyone go out and get their float on at Zee Float, and be sure to check out their website if you have any questions or concerns. Plus it’s normal to have concerns about falling asleep IN WATER!!! Ok, I’m done shouting now.
Lol I’m sold. Let’s do this together in December
